Highland Ridge is a forested campground located east of Minneapolis with an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. The price is $12 per night with a senior pass and campsites can be reserved online. The site privacy is good because of the tremendous spacing between sites, and the site spacing is very good. The campground is situated in a forested area with no understory, providing campers with a lot of shade. The campground is clean, and the showers and bathrooms are well-maintained. There is a shutdown for cleaning every morning at around 6 AM. The campground is surrounded by hiking trails, and there is an equestrian section for horse trails. Most sites are electric only, and the advantage to site #1 is that it has community water connection. The cell service is good at the campground, and there is no campground noise or road noise. There is no through traffic in the campground, and generators are not needed. Campers can take advantage of the free beach passes offered by the hosts, who are friendly and always available to help campers. The campground is ideal for large RVs. The bugs are not too bad, and solar is not needed, as the forest canopy provides a lot of shade.
