What others are saying about this campground
Potawatomi Daisy Field Campground is a peaceful and private campground located along Sturgeon Bay in the southern part of Door County. With 125 sites divided into two loops, the north and south, it is the perfect spot for tents, pop-ups, and small to midsize trailers and motorhomes. The campground offers spacious sites with fire pits and large picnic tables, some with electric hookups and some without. It is conveniently located close to Sturgeon Bay, with easy access to shops, restaurants, pubs, art studios, and even a Walmart and Target. The park also offers excellent hiking trails with views of ships coming and going from Lake Michigan, as well as the Ice Age Trail. The campground has one bathhouse between the two loops, and vault toilets near the tent camping sites. It is also close to the Door County regional airport, so there is occasional plane noise. Unfortunately, the observation tower in the north part of the park is permanently closed. There is a full camp store that also rents small watercraft. The park is also home to Mary’s Waterfront restaurant, which is a two mile bike ride away.

From The Campground
Potawatomi State Park is a 1,200-acre park located on the shore of Sturgeon Bay in southern Door County. The park offers gently rolling upland terrain bordered by steep slopes and rugged limestone cliffs. It is named in honor of the tribe that inhabited Green Bay’s shores and islands when Europeans first settled the area. The tribe called themselves Bo-De-Wad-Me which means 'keeper of the fire.'
