Pattison Lake State Park is a great place to stay in the Superior, WI area. The campsites are spacious and wooded, providing great privacy. Electric sites are available, and there is a swimming beach, picnic shelter, playground, and nature center. The park also has a variety of trails, including one to the Big Manitou Falls. Generators are not allowed in the park, and the swimming beach had a high E. Coli count during one visit. The park roads and sites are narrow, and only suitable for smaller rigs such as tents, trailers, and RVs below 30 feet. The park is also patrolled hourly and is very peaceful, making it great for families. There is no internet access, but the campground attendants may offer to let campers plug in to their phone line. An incredible amount of stars can be seen at night.
