The Embarrass River Campground is a great destination for a weekend getaway. With a beautiful cascading waterfall, swimming area, and plenty of fishing opportunities, its the perfect place to relax and unwind. The grounds are nicely maintained and the small store offers basic amenities. Rachel, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating. The campsites are spaced out to maximize the space and provide a peaceful atmosphere. The river provides plenty of space to enjoy the water, with rocky outcroppings and trees lining the banks. The small town nearby gives the campground a true Wisconsin-Midwestern feel. Theres a playground, a swimming beach with a raft, and a big floating thing for kids to play on. The camp store is not as well-stocked as the website would have you believe, and the many rules are strictly enforced. The restrooms are small and not very clean, but the dump station is easily accessible. There are weekend activities such as crayfish races and cardboard boat races, and the pond is great for swimming and birdwatching. With 50amp power and water, this campground is ideal for both short and long stays.
