Nelsons Landing RV Park in Tomah, WI is a unique park with a spacious layout. Long-term sites are situated in a big arc on one side, while the short-term sites encircle the laundry and showers/restrooms. Although the park is a bit out of the way, there are many things to do in the area. Across the river is Wabasha, MN, which was a filming location for the Grumpy Old Men movies. The sites are spacious, with concrete patios, and the long-term sites are all back-in with ample room for parking. The helpful and friendly seasonal campers make for a welcoming atmosphere. The Wi-Fi connection is adequate, and the owners plan to install a new system over the winter. DirecTV streaming is possible, and AT&T cell phone service is reliable. The seasonal sites cost $2400 for 2022, while a regular site cost around $800. The owners of the RV park operate the Nelson Creamery, which offers a wide selection of cheeses, meats, and wines, as well as delicious deli sandwiches and soups. Propane is available just south of Wabasha, and the park stays open until the end of October. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the spacious sites are satellite-friendly, though there is some train noise from time to time. While some campers find the small and confusing signs to be a drawback, others appreciate the low-key and laid back atmosphere and lack of office personnel. The limited OTA TV channels are not the parks fault, but the Wi-Fi can be slow. The park has only one dumpster, which is located outside the park. Although some critics find the parks prices to be high, for many visitors, Nelsons Landing RV Park is a lovely place to stay.
