What others are saying about this campground
This campground is a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts, offering access to bike trails, a practically deserted beach, and 6 miles of beach along Lake Michigan. The sites are wooded and many are quite private, with some offering electric and water hookups. There is a camp store, restaurant, and concession stand on-site. The showers and toilets are buggy, so bring bug spray, and the sand can get very hot, so bring water shoes. There is also a dog beach south of the lighthouse, but beware of biting flies. The water at the campsite is iron-laden and tastes bad, and there is a lot of poison ivy in the area, so take precautions. The park requires a $7 entry permit, and the total cost for an electric only site is $35.
