This campground is situated right on the shore of Lake Superior, offering stunning views of the lake and boats going in and out of the town harbor. Many of the sites are partially shaded and have electric hookups, cable TV, and wifi. There is no boat access, but Memorial West does have it. The campground is in a great location to explore Ashland, Bayfield, Apostle Islands, and other attractions. The bathrooms are old and worn, and there is a quarter-a-minute charge for the shower. The campground is relatively quiet and the host is friendly. The sites are spacious and some have excellent lake views. There is no water hookup, but there is a potable water spigot and a dump station. There is a small city park nearby where you can fill up water containers. Firewood and showers are also available. The price is great and the wifi is excellent.
