Washington Island Campground is a great spot for casual camping, with cabins available for rent. The grounds are well maintained, but the main building looks half finished and has been that way for many years. The bathrooms unfortunately do not live up to the upscale vibe of the campground, as they are often dirty and poorly maintained. The campground offers a variety of amenities, including a swimming pond with a sand beach, a miniature golf course, a playground, and a lavender farm. The sites are spacious and the owners are very friendly, though the mini-golf and swimming pond should be let go in favor of investing in the camp sites and dump station. The campground is located 4 miles from the water, and the island coast is beautiful. Unfortunately, there is no cell service for either AT&T or Verizon, and the pit toilet or outhouse is often filthy. The campground is self-serve oriented during the week, and the laundry facilities cost $5.00 a load. Some sites may be challenging to back up into due to the trees, and the showers require a quarter to start them. Despite these drawbacks, the campground is a great spot for a quiet getaway, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Washington Island Campground is located in Door County, WI and offers a variety of camping options including basic tent sites, electric and water sites, horse-friendly sites, rustic cabins, deluxe cabins, and a premium cabin. The campground features a recreational area with a large swimming pond, sandy beach, playground, sand volleyball court, and mini-golf course. The main lodge offers flush toilets, showers, pool table, game room, and laundry facilities. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Pets are allowed in rustic cabins for an additional fee. The campground is located on Washington Island, the largest of Door County's thirty islands, with over 35 square miles and over 100 miles of roads to explore and enjoy.
