From The Campground

Hunter Campground is a Forest Service campground located in Bighorn National Forest. It is popular with pack and saddle stock users, offering corrals, hitching rails, and an accessible mounting ramp. The campground is conveniently located near many trails that access to the Cloud Peak Wilderness and the Rock Creek recommended wilderness area. There are 11 single sites available for camping and horse camping. Vault toilets are available on site. Water may not be potable, so visitors are advised to plan accordingly. The campground is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and reservations can be made online or by phone.
