Middle Fork campground in Buffalo, Wyoming is a beautiful spot with nine primitive campsites located on the water’s edge. The pit toilets are newly renovated and very clean. Although there is no cell service, it is a peaceful and secluded area that is perfect for those seeking to truly disconnect and spend time in nature. The campground is well-maintained with plenty of shade from surrounding trees, making it difficult for solar power. Hand pumps supply fresh water, but it is recommended to purify it before drinking. A moose sighting is possible, and the surrounding area offers many beautiful hiking trails. Middle Fork campground is a good choice for walk-in sites, and although it is set in a somewhat level bowl, it feels private due to boulder outcroppings. The Tent Only area is accessed by crossing a small metal bridge and is equipped with its own pit toilet located at the car park nearby. At night, temperatures can become quite chilly, so be sure to build a big fire with extra firewood on the side. This campground is open from June and can be reserved through recreation.gov for up to 14 days.

Middle Fork Campground is a beautiful campground located near the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. The campground has 9 total sites (8 single sites, 1 double site) and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The campground is operated by Gallatin Canyon Campgrounds and offers potable water and vault toilets. The Middle Clear Creek runs next to the campground, providing a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The campground is heavily used and reservations are recommended.
