From The Campground

Eagle Creek Campground is located in Shoshone National Forest and offers 20 campsites along the Shoshone River. The campground is accessible to persons with mobility impairments and has bear boxes available. Due to grizzly bear activity, only hard-sided camping units are allowed. Tents and pop-up campers are not allowed. The campground is open from May 19, 2023 to October 15, 2023. Potable water and vault toilets are available. The campground is a great spot for fishing, hiking, and nature viewing. Two trailheads with corrals for public use lead into the Washakie Wilderness, and campers can enjoy a footbridge that crosses the river. The campground is located about 8 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the closest town is Cody, Wyoming. There is no cell service at the campground.
