GenieSummary
Hunter Peak Campground in Cody, WY is a great place to camp if youre planning on staying in the area. However, it is important to note that the sites may be smaller than what is listed. Larger rigs over 28ft could have trouble fitting in some sites. The road leading up to the campground is pretty rough and rocky, so it may not be recommended for low clearance cars. The campground itself is beautiful, and the sunrise over the lake is worth waking up early for. Be sure to bring bug spray, as the mosquitoes can be quite active. Despite these minor issues, the campground is very clean and in a fantastic area for camping.
From The Campground
Deer Creek Campground is a primitive campground located in Shoshone National Forest. It hosts six sites on Deer Creek and is only a short hike to scenic Deer Creek Falls. Water is not available and the site is not accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Donations are accepted.
