Located perfectly for a visit to Devils Tower, the Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA Journey offers fantastic views of the monolith from many campsites. The park is clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hayride is a fun activity for all guests. If you get a site with a view of the tower, its an excellent experience. The facilities are clean and functional, and the site sizes are more than adequate. Some visitors have noted that without a view spot, the experience could be less enjoyable. Overall, its a great campground and location.

Devils Tower National Monument, named a "top 10 eco-tourism destination," is America's First National Monument. The monument was established in 1906 by Teddy Roosevelt. Nestled on the banks of the Belle Fourche River in the beautiful Black Hills of Wyoming, this KOA campground lies in the shadow of Devils Tower. Enjoy the nightly hayride through the historic Campstool Ranch, one of the oldest ranches in Wyoming. The movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind was filmed on-site in 1976, and it is shown nightly at the campground. This KOA offers a full-service restaurant, an extensive gift shop and a Sweet Shoppe that features legendary fudge, hand-dipped ice cream , and hot cinnamon sugar nuts.Open May 15 - October 15 (depending on snow conditions, please call for off-season reservations). Pool: June 1 - September 1 (depending on weather conditions). Max pull thru: 70 feet. Your hosts: the Driskill family.Please note that the campground site numbers have changed from previous years. They are accurate on the map.
