With only a few other groups camping, you can enjoy the serenity of nature without the noise and crowds. The campground is easily accessible via a groomed road, and the Medicine Bow River runs through it. You can catch views of Elk Mountain, and there is good hiking nearby. The sites are relatively level, but be aware that there are a lot of mosquitoes. The bathrooms are smelly, so make your trips quick. This is a first come first served system, and dispersed camping is allowed on parts of FS111 if the campground is full. The area is great for ATVs, and you may even catch a glimpse of moose or elk.
