This campground is located in Gillette, Wyoming and is part of a convention center. It is an old campground with dirt lots and dust, and is mostly filled with long-term RVs. The tent sites are affordable and the office has a nice big table to work at with good wifi. There is no fire ring or table, and the power in site 45 is only 120v. Water is available in every other slot, but the sewer dumps are recessed in the ground and spaced for something other than a mobile home. The spots are narrow and some pull throughs are nearly impossible to get into with a big rig due to the tight turns. The lady at the front desk is very nice and accommodating. This is more of an RV park than a campground, and is not a pretty picture. However, it does have great wifi and decent facilities.

High Plains Campground is located in a natural setting close to Devils Tower, Sturgis, the Black Hills, the Big Horn Mountains and Powder River. The campground offers daily, weekly and monthly rates and features full hookups, pull-thru sites, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables. Pets are welcome. Visitors can also visit a working coal mine.
