There is hardly any shade and the sites are gravel, but the views are nice, and there are mature trees planted between sites for a little shade. The park is well maintained and laid out with wide interior gravel roads and level sites. The bathrooms are individual suites, very clean but require a token (given at check-in) to utilize the shower. This campground is a great option for an overnight stop or a few days to relax. It is conveniently located close to the interstate, but not noisy. The sites are generously long and wide, and the space between rows is much wider than most parks. The roads and sites are gravel, well maintained, and extra wide to allow for maneuvering of large RVs. The bathhouse has private full bathrooms with toilet, sink, and shower all behind a lockable door, and are very clean. There are mature trees planted between sites to provide some shade, and the antelope on the mountainside provide a pleasing show during happy hour. The campground offers easy access to the nearby lake, Glendo Reservoir, for boating and day picnicking. There is also good reception for satellite and cell service.
