What others are saying about this campground
Glendo State Park is a large reservoir with many camping sites across a large area. The drive can be a bit confusing and there are a couple larger hills, but the overall drive is not terrible. If youre towing, stock up on supplies beforehand as it takes about 45-50 minutes. Sandy Willow (Beach) site is an electric site, facing the Wyoming hills and prairie with a large concrete pad. Youll love the moonrises each night and abundant wildlife. The condition of the property is unkept and the reservoir is down to about 50%. The trees and foliage that are typically under water are exposed so its pretty rough terrain with a lot of debris and trash. The drive back to the fill station is over 15 miles, and there is not a good option to fill your water tank outside of the fill station near the Rangers area, so be aware. Overall, the place is not well maintained, and facilities cant be guaranteed to be open, but if you come during the ON season, it would be busier and more people would be there.
