Platte River RV Park & Campground in Glenrock, WY has a small, but well-maintained dog park and river access. However, many RV sites are small and there is little shade available. Staff can be difficult to find, and the office is often closed. Long-term guests seem to get worse sites, which is strange. The websites marketing portrays a much nicer experience than what is actually offered, as the location is essentially a flat, unappealing patch of land that can become very muddy in the rain. However, this campground can be convenient for a one-night stopover. Full hookup is available for $53, and there is a dog park and laundry facilities. Nonetheless, the mosquitoes can be bad near the river at night.
