Larson Park Campground is a great spot for camping in Wyoming. Located directly across the street from the Oregon Trail Ruts historic site and only a mile from Register Cliff, the campground offers a great opportunity to explore the areas historical sites. The grassy area has several picnic tables and BBQ grills, as well as a pavilion with additional picnic tables, providing a great spot to relax and eat out of the rain or in the shade on a hot day. Water is available at all sites, and hookup sites are $20, dry camp $14, and tents $12. The campground is also adjacent to the city golf course, offering a great spot for fishing. The National Guard training facility is just down the street, and the campground is a great spot for walking the dogs. With relatively close spacing, it might be challenging for rigs over 30ft, but the person at the registration is friendly and helpful in pointing out local attractions.

From The Campground

The Town of Guernsey Campground is located in the historic town of Guernsey, Wyoming. The campground offers a glimpse into the past with the deepest ruts on the Oregon Trail, Register Cliff and the Pony Express way station. The campground is located near the warm springs that are located just west of town. The economy of Guernsey is diverse and hosts Camp Guernsey National Guard Base, BNSF, a flourishing industrial park and is a short commute to the surrounding communities that compliment Guernsey’s economic market. The campground is a great place to stay while exploring the town and the surrounding area.
