Davis Bay Campground is a small, 3 plot only campground located near Guernsey State Park in Wyoming. It is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and secluded spot, with stunning views of the beach and beach point from many of the sites. The sites range from no electricity to 50 amp, with a great view of the water from Sandy Beach. The State Park is spread out over a few miles and features a lake formed by a dam, as well as trails, picnic tables, and fire circles. There are also kayak and boat launch areas, and a museum with informative displays. The campground is close to the Oregon Trail Ruts and the National Guard practice area, and the staff and Park Rangers are very friendly. There are no Wi-Fi or sewer hook ups, but there is sufficient Verizon coverage to set up a hot spot. The road leading to the campground is steep and windy, and there is a train nearby, but it is only a minor nuisance. Be aware that there was a wildfire earlier in the summer, so large areas of trees are burned.
