What others are saying about this campground
Powder River Campground is a tranquil spot located between Bad Lands and Yellowstone, perfect for a one night stopover. The campground is surrounded by stunning views of the lake, mountains, and Wyoming-open skies. It features 8 back-in sites with electricity for $15, and plenty of dry camping sites for those looking to camp without utilities. The roads coming in are decent, and the sites are large and clean. There is a boat launch available and a beautiful view of the lake. Wildlife is abundant, and the lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating, and diving. Unfortunately, there is no water or dump station, so make sure to fill up your water tank before arriving. There is potable water and a dump station at the Cenex in town. The campground is in the process of upgrading the facility, and the price for electric in a back-in site is now $20/day.
