Lander City Park is the perfect spot for campers and travelers looking for a free place to stay in Lander. With up to three days of free camping, its a great deal. The tent area is set back in a grassy area with access to flush toilets in the parking area. The Popo Agie River runs next to the park, providing a peaceful sound to fall asleep to. Theres also a large gravel area with a couple large trees for RVs, trailers, vans, and such, as well as a large grass and trees area for tents. The park is also within walking distance of the downtown area, with great restaurants, bars, and shops. Theres no fee, but there is a sign suggesting donations to the city park service. There are also nearby walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. If you need a shower, head over to the Recreation Center and pay $5 for use of the facilities. Lander City Park is a great spot for campers looking for a safe and peaceful place to stay.
