This campground is a peaceful lakeside spot located in the Shoshone National Forest in the southern part of the Windriver Mountains. It is a small campground with a pit toilet, picnic tables, rock fire rings with grates, and bear proof storage boxes. There are also cabins nearby and a small store. The campground is perfect for those looking for a quiet, secluded spot to camp, as well as those looking for adventure. There are several lakes in the vicinity, and the campground is close to the Popo Aggie Falls, only about a 10 minute walk to the trailhead. The area has a well marked trail system to point you in the direction of different walls along the crag, and there is a variety of limestone sport routes in a variety of skill levels. The campground is along a severely rutted road, but the sites are level and in the trees. Bring bug spray if you go in July, as there are lots of mosquitoes. Verizon cell signal is decent, but not great. There is no electricity, but there are lots of canoes and kayaks you can take on the lake as well as life vests to wear.

Wild Iris is a popular rock climbing destination located 24 miles southwest of Lander on Highway 28. The campground offers a variety of climbing routes ranging from 5.0 to 5.15d, as well as bouldering, aid, ice, and mixed climbing. The area is known for its high-quality rock and stunning views. The campground is accessible via a dirt road and offers primitive camping with no amenities.
