GenieSummary

Colter Bay Village Campground is a great place for RV camping. Its close to the lake and easy to find the bathroom with running water. The campground is in a beautiful area and there is plenty of boating, hiking, and other activities to do. You can find everything from full hookups to areas where you can use a generator and areas where you cannot. Theres a small grocery store, restaurant, bar, and ice cream shop, as well as paid showers and laundry services. The Wi-Fi is great in the restaurant area. The sites may be close together, but there are trees for privacy, picnic tables, and fire rings. Its important to keep in mind that there are bears in the area and you need to use the bear box for safety.

From The Campground

Grand Teton National Park offers seven campgrounds with a total of 1,000 campsites. All campsites are reserved by advanced reservations only and can be reserved up to six months in advance. Most sites offer standard amenities including modern comfort stations, potable water, metal fire grates, picnic tables, and metal bear boxes. The maximum length of stay is seven days per person at Jenny Lake, and 14 days at all other campgrounds—no more than 30 days in the park per year. Doubling up in campsites is prohibited and there are no overflow facilities. Camping is not permitted within the park along roadsides, at overlooks, or parking areas. If the campgrounds are full, visitors can camp in the John D. Rockefeller Memorial Parkway, National Forest, or Yellowstone National Park, or at private campgrounds in the local area.
