From The Campground

Boysen State Park is a beautiful park located in Wyoming. The park is named after Asmus Boysen, who built a dam and power plant at the site in the early 1900s. The park offers camping, boating, and fishing opportunities, with 19,560 acres of water and 76 miles of shoreline. The park has several campgrounds, including Tough Creek and Tamarask, which may experience minor flooding during high water. The park also has a marina and boat ramps, but visitors are advised to use caution in areas of high water, especially in and around the Wind River below Boysen Dam. The park offers a variety of amenities and activities, including hiking, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. The park also hosts special events throughout the year, such as the Wild West Winter Carnival and Eclipse programming. Visitors can check the status of their camping reservations on the park's website or by calling the park headquarters.
