GenieSummary

Burchfield Branch Park is a great place to camp and enjoy the outdoors. It is located near Adger, AL and provides access to Holt Lake on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway northeast of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All sites have paved pads, picnic tables, lantern hook, grills and fire rings. The roads are paved throughout the park, so there are plenty of opportunities for kids to ride bikes, scooters, and skateboards. Additionally, there are limited hiking trails and opportunities to view wildlife. The camp and facilities are clean and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The sites up the hill are in an old growth wooded area with a heavy canopy and the campsites are generally larger and better spaced. Full water and electrical hook ups are available, but no sewer. There is a dump station as you exit the park. There are no indoor showers easily accessible from these sites, but the closest ones are at the beach and they are not climate controlled. Unfortunately, there is no cell service at the camp or on the road leading to it, and satellite reception is improbable because of the heavy tree canopy.
