This campground is an ideal spot for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located on a small island, this campground is surrounded by water and is incredibly peaceful and quiet. The sites are spacious and offer plenty of privacy, and the lake is beautiful with Spanish moss. There is a playground and picnic pavilion, and a few sites even have a private dock. Bird watching, turtles, and alligators can be seen, and the private showers are clean and well stocked. The entrance road is a rough dirt road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Once you arrive, you will be welcomed by friendly and helpful hosts. Enjoy fishing, boating, and swimming nearby, and relax in the peaceful atmosphere of this campground.

From The Campground
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates and maintains six campgrounds at Alabama River Lakes. Registered campers are entitled to the full use of campground facilities such as grills and tables, dump stations, laundries and showers. All six campgrounds are 'fee campgrounds' with resident park attendants. Many of the fee campgrounds also offer boat ramps, fish cleaning stations, playgrounds, basketball courts, and nature trails. During the summer season, reservations are accepted at the fee campgrounds, but are not required.
