What others are saying
Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL is a wooded park with lots of hiking and biking trails. The park is gated and peaceful at night, with some park traffic from the BMX and mountain bike trails. The lake area is beautiful, but the walk to the falls is steep. There is no Wi-Fi in the park but cable TV worked well and OTA channels were available. Distancing is good, and some sites have vegetation privacy barriers. The park is clean and well-groomed, with modern bathrooms and adequate facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Although the interior roads are narrow in some areas, most sites are spread out and are easy to back into or pull through. The campground is not large and may fill up quickly during college football season, but during the off season its not crowded. The mountain bike trails are well marked and maintained, with several skill levels available. Overall, Chewacla State Park is a nice, quiet park close to everything that offers a great experience for hiking, biking and camping.
