This campground is a peaceful and beautiful getaway located 5 miles off the nearest highway. It is surrounded by trees and a lake, making it a great spot to relax and take in the views. The campground is well maintained and the camp host is very helpful. There are a few pull through sites, but the best views are from the sites that back in over the lake. There is a small beach, volleyball net, horseshoe game, and a fire ring and picnic table for outdoor cooking. The showers and washing machine area are old, but there is a nice bath house with a washer and dryer. The nearby town is run down, but has some amenities. Verizon service is marginal, but ATT is okay. It is a great spot to get away from it all during the week, but can get busy on weekends.
