The campground is mostly gravel with some narrow spots and low tree branches on the road system that could use some gravel and grading but for an overnight stay, it fit well. The sites are very narrow and there are a lot of trees, also making it difficult to navigate. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the park had a laundry mat that was clean and cheep. The entire campground is surrounded by beautiful live oaks with Spanish moss, making the sites attractive and shaded. The park is conveniently located off the freeway and close to many local amenities. It is an ideal stopover for travelers or a great base for exploring the area.
