Dauphin Island Campground in Dauphin Island, AL is easily accessible and has all paved interior roads with adequate signage. Check-in was friendly and efficient, and the rules are basic. Most sites are dirt/grass back-ins that are long enough for RVs with services (30/50 amp, water, and sewer) located to the left. Distancing is good, there is a table at every site but no fire pits. The park is tidy and neat, and very dog-friendly with no uncleaned dog waste seen. However, feral cats live in the park, providing snake and rodent control and some cat waste around. Unfortunately, there is no cable TV or park Wifi, but modern and clean restrooms and laundry facilities are available. Verizon signal is weak, and OTA channels are available. The park has a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk to the beach, which is a short walk away. However, restaurants and stores are not within walking distance. The park provides very good value, with monthly rates available. Muddy conditions can occur during rainfall but the sites are otherwise flat and even.
