Foscue Creek in Demopolis, AL is a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and a day-use park connected. The campground boasts level concrete pads surrounded by pea gravel, moveable aluminum tables, pedestal BBQ grills, metal fire rings, and wooden fish cleaning tables. The bathhouse is very clean and in good working condition with soap and toilet paper. The park also features security gates that close at 10 p.m. and open at 6 a.m., with no overnight entry allowed. The site numbers are painted on asphalt and on the electrical box, but the roads can be narrow in some areas. There is no park WIFI, but T-Mobile reported 2 bars. The park offers a spillway/dam/lock park about 1 mile down the road, which is perfect for biking. Visitors particularly enjoyed watching the barges pass on the waterway and dining at Smokin’ Jack BBQ in Demopolis. Lower Pool park with the damn and the last lock heading south is also a must-see. Guests appreciated the Rangers helpfulness and friendliness.
