Pirates Cove RV Resort is a family-oriented campground located just 11 miles from the beautiful Gulf Shores beach. The resort is still in development, with the indoor pool not yet completed, but the outdoor pool is great, and the owners are campers themselves, so they know how to make it great for their customers. Each site is spacious with concrete pads and well placed utilities, and there are many activities to enjoy, including a large pool with a waterfall, a playground for the kids, outdoor swings, basketball courts, horseshoe pit, and a dog park. The clubhouse is almost complete, and will make the resort a 5-star destination. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the park is clean and tidy. There is a good bit of tree damage from the hurricane last fall, but the amenities are reliable and there is good Verizon 4G coverage. The sites are close together, but with all the activities and attractions nearby, Pirates Cove RV Resort is a great place to stay for families with kids.
