What others are saying about this campground
The park has full hookups, 50/30 amp electrical, water, picnic table, fire ring and grill. There are a few sites that are on the bank of Sauty Creek that also have sewer hook ups. There are clean and well stocked bathrooms located at the park office and also includes a laundry facility. There is a 2 mile ORV trail that is very fun and parallels the creek, however there is no cell service or over the air TV reception due to the park being in the valley floor. The park does provide good WIFI that could be received throughout the campground. Bucks Pocket State Park is a beautiful and secluded state park with plenty of mature trees and a creek that runs behind a number of the sites. It has recently reopened after being closed for a few years and has had lots of work done to the campground and facilities. All of the RV sites are paved and relatively level, with a picnic table, firepit, and grill. There are full hookups, 50/30 amp electrical, water, picnic table, fire ring and grill, and a few sites that are on the bank of Sauty Creek that also have sewer hook ups. There are a few hiking trails that range in levels of difficulty, and the last mile of road before reaching the campground is rather steep with 2 hairpin curves leading down into the valley. There is no cell service or over the air TV reception due to the park being in the valley floor, however the park does provide good WIFI that can be received throughout the campground. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the park is very clean and well stocked.

From The Campground

Bucks Pocket State Park is a secluded and peaceful park located in three counties (DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall) atop Sand Mountain's plateau. The park is known for its sweeping views of rugged and seemingly untouched landscapes provided from the heights of Point Rock. The park offers a 6.2-mile ORV trail that passes through the backcountry campsite area and runs towards Morgan's Cove boat ramp where it continues another 2.3 miles. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy scenic views of Northeast Alabama's unique flora and fauna, picnic, and fish.
