What others are saying about this campground
This family-friendly Alabama destination state park is set alongside 69,000-acre Lake Guntersville. It offers 295 improved campsites with full hookups, picnic tables, and fire pits, as well as bathhouses with washers and dryers. Some of the sites have steep slopes from the trailer parking spot to the picnic table and fire pit. There is a small campground store with a limited selection of groceries, sodas, snacks, ice, and beer. There are plenty of activities available, such as fishing, boating, basketball, tennis, hiking, and a zip line. There is a beautiful beach, boat dock, and slips, as well as a splash pad, playground, and more. The views of the lake are stunning, with wonderful sunsets, and there are lots of deer in the area. The park also offers a golf course, a scenic mountain-top lodge, well-marked and picturesque hiking trails, and a nature center. Wifi works pretty good, but there is no cable or antennae reception. There is no gas station nearby, and driving into Guntersville takes at least 20 minutes. The outdoor pool is only open seasonally.
