This campground is a great place for a weekend getaway in north Alabama. It offers a variety of amenities, including a basketball court, game room, playground, putt-putt, tennis, shuffle board, and two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The park is close to the Tennessee River, and fishing is available. The sites are grass and some have ruts due to heavy vehicles and/or soggy ground. There are no fire rings, and campfires are not allowed on the ground. The resort has a two week limit on stays, but some campers have stayed longer than that. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, although there is one rather unfriendly lady. The park is much older than it looks and the amenities are not as they appear. There is a lot of traffic on the unpaved roads, and golf carts are driven around all night and day. The park is safe, and people are generally observant of the rules. Unfortunately, there is no sign in the game room stating that refunds are not given, and the laundry room was being used by one person. The indoor pool is a great amenity, but there is an old man who stares at people in the jacuzzi. The park needs to do a better job of keeping up the place and not letting it look trashy.
