Clear Creek Campground in Bankhead National Forest is a great place to explore and spend time camping. Located in the Jasper area, the campground is open from early March to late October. The campsites are spacious and clean, and many have access to the lake. There are 50/30 amp electric, water hookups, fire rings and picnic tables. The campground also has a day use area, bike trail, and beach. Unfortunately, the staff does not enforce quiet time, and the bathrooms/showers can be dirty. Additionally, firewood is overpriced and there is no hand soap in the sinks. Despite these drawbacks, the campground is a great place to spend time with family and friends, and it offers beautiful views of the lake.
