GenieSummary

Amity Campground is a beautiful ACOE park located on West Point Lake. It offers a variety of camping options, from big sites to smaller loops for RVs. There are nature trails within the campground that lead to a marsh, where you can spot ducks, owls, and bluebirds. There are two long boardwalks that allow you to walk over the marsh, and you have a good chance of seeing turtles and frogs. There is also another hiking trail that branches off and leads one mile into the woods. Most of the campsites are along the water’s edge, and you can swim, fish, or boat right from your site. The forest is very diverse, with lots of large oaks, pines, cedars, and more. The lots are spaced out so that each loop is far from the others, and you can’t hear or see them. The park is right on the Alabama/Georgia line, and is open from April to Labor Day. AT&T has two bars at most sites, allowing you to stream Netflix without buffering. There are 30 and 50 amp lots with water but no sewer, but with a dumping station. There is also a playground with basketball court and tennis. The restrooms with showers are spotless and are cleaned twice a day. The sites are very wide and can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet. There are no stores within 7 miles of the campground, so be sure to bring everything you need.
