Chickasabogue Park is a great spot for camping, offering a variety of sites for RVs, tents, and campers. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and small open type grill. There are hiking trails, a sports complex, a playground, a small beach area with roped off swimming, and covered picnic tables. Theres also a boat dock and canoe/kayak rental. The sites are spacious and private, and the park offers Passport America discounts. Unfortunately, the park is close to a highway, so the sound of cars is noticeable. The neighboring area is run-down and the roads in and out are rough, so it may not be the best choice for a long stay. There is a $40 cash deposit required overnight.

Chickasabogue Park is an 1,100-acre outdoor recreation facility and wildlife refuge in Eight Mile, Alabama. The park is less than 15 minutes from downtown Mobile and provides a wide variety of outdoor activities in a natural setting while protecting the environment and preserving the diversity of indigenous plants and animals. The park has about 17 miles of hiking and biking trails, a disc golf course, sports fields, a boat launch, RV campgrounds, and a beach on Chickasabogue Creek, which connects the park to Mobile Bay. The park is temporarily closed for infrastructure and amenity improvements, including construction of an events and interpretive center, playground/splash pad area, RV campground, parking areas, boat ramp, additional disc golf holes, and new restroom facilities. Once it reopens, Chickasabogue will have improved amenities including its trails, basketball courts, restrooms, pavilions, RV camping sites and generally enhanced park infrastructure.
