Located in a residential area, Shady Acres Campground is a fairly new park that offers a convenient spot for travelers driving along I-10. The park has a paved hike and bike trail, which passes right through it, making outdoor recreation easily accessible. The locations of the sites are spread apart, offering visitors a sense of privacy. Facilities including bathrooms were well-maintained and staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The management was quick to respond to concerns, making it easy to contact them. Although the laundry room was in slight disrepair, the Wi-Fi connection was excellent. There were a number of local attractions nearby, including Mudbugs, a seafood restaurant located half a mile away. The park is located in a safe and well-kept residential area, making it accessible on foot, and there are many other local parks within 5 miles. Visitors traveling with pets may find the options for dog walking limited in the park, but the surrounding neighborhood offers ample options for walks.

Shady Acres Campground and Resort is located in Mobile, Alabama, just 1/2 mile off Interstate 10 Exit Number 22. The campground features 82 shady and open sites, including large pull-thru and back-in sites to accommodate all sizes of trailers and motor homes. Every site has 20, 30, and 50 AMP electricity, water, and sewer. The campground is situated in an open forest filled with oak and pine trees, and is located along the Dog River. Amenities include easy access for highway travelers, large rigs welcome, and a variety of area events and attractions.
