Frank Jackson State Park is a 2,050-acre park located near Opp, Alabama. The park is a popular destination for anglers due to its main attraction, the 1,000-acre Lake Jackson, which is specially stocked and managed for prime freshwater fishing. In addition to fishing, the park offers picnic areas, lakefront RV camping with cable TV hookups, a modern bathhouse, a boardwalk leading to an island in the lake, and more than three miles of walking trails. The park also hosts Scarecrows in the Park, an annual event where the walking trails are lined with decorative scarecrows made by local individuals, businesses, organizations, and school groups.
