What others are saying about this campground
Bluff Creek COE Campground in Pittsview, Alabama is a great little park for RV camping. It features nice wide roads and paved sites, and most sites are big rig friendly. The majority of the sites have some shade or are mostly shaded. Each site also has a campfire ring, a big table, stand up grill, and a fish cleaning table. The bathrooms are extremely clean. The park is located on the Walter F George Lake which spans over the Georgia/Alabama border by Fort Benning and Fort Mitchell. Its an especially peaceful spot since the campground is quiet during the week. Theres a Paper Mill close by which can cause a sulfur smell when the winds are right. The sounds might annoy some people, but others might find it fun to pretend its Dragon/Robot Wars. Keep in mind that the park is near Ft. Benning, so expect the occasional loud jets and planes flying low overheard. There isnt much around in terms of stores or other amenities locally, but Columbus, GA is about 45 minutes away, and offers a variety of things to do. Prices are reasonable, and the facilities are super clean. Overall Bluff Creek COE Campground is a great place to camp, especially if youre looking for a quiet and peaceful spot near the water.
