Goose Pond Colony is a great campground situated right on the beautiful Lake Guntersville. With plenty of lake access for boats, kayaks, and swimmers, as well as a boat ramp and dock, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The campground does not take reservations, so it is important to call ahead of time to check availability. The primitive area is a great option for those looking for a more rustic experience, and electric sites are available with most offering a lake view. The park is well equipped with a golf course, restaurant, walking trails, playground, basketball court, and much more. Unfortunately, the water next to the campground is relatively stagnant, making it a haven for mosquitoes. The bath house is decent, but only has one shower, and the bathrooms are mediocre. With the proper funding, this campground has wonderful potential with its lake and layout.
