Service Campground is a beautiful park located on the shore of the Tombigbee River. With river side pull throughs, guests can enjoy a great view of the river and the barges passing by. The roads and the sites are well kept and paved, with finely crushed rock and sand in front of the camper. The park is very clean including the bathrooms and the river. The campground is exceptionally maintained by helpful and knowledgeable hosts who are always available. They are attentive, helpful, but not nosy. The campsite is very quiet and relaxing with great hiking trails. There are tent sites, and the dump station is organized well with water access and no potable access. Verizon has great reception for internet and calls. Also, there is a Dollar General and a gas station 4 miles away if you need supplies. Although there is not much to do or see in the area, the park itself is a great place to stay.
