Avalon Campground is a bare bones gravel parking lot located in the city, near a carwash, tire service, bait shop, and other businesses. It is close enough to the city to have noises, sirens, and motorcycles, however the night time is quiet and a train can be heard in the distance once in awhile. The nearby bar across the street can be noisy, and the campground is notorious for it. There are utility posts and WiFi and cable, but no dumpster, bathrooms, or showers. It is adequate for an overnight stay and the WiFi and cable have a good amount of channels. You have to stop into Sunset RV park to pay and get a map. It is a no frills campground, but it is a good option if RV sites are impossible to find.

Avalon Section is a gravel-surfaced RV park located in Cottondale Alabama. The park offers full hook-up RV sites with 50/30 amp power water sewer WiFi and cable TV. The park also features a modern Speed Queen Commercial laundry facility clean restrooms and shower facilities and commercial-sized dumpsters.
