GenieSummary

Rickwood Caverns State Park in Warrior, AL is a small park with some challenges for people camping in larger rigs. The roads are narrow, and the campsites have very little room between them. However, the park has sites with water and electric hookups, as well as free Wi-Fi that works well. The Fossil trail is a moderately difficult hike, and there are other easy trails to enjoy. The swimming pool is closed during the off-season, and the cave tour is an experience that many people enjoy. Although there have been some negative reviews, the park has potential for good camping experiences, especially for those with smaller RVs or pop-ups.

From The Campground

Rickwood Caverns State Park is a unique park that features a massive cave with 260-million-year-old formations that were created by water and reveal evidence that the cave was carved from an ocean bed. The park offers guided cave tours, a gift shop, picnicking, gemstone mining, camping, playground, and hiking the Fossil Mountain Hiking Trail. The park features an Olympic-size swimming pool, fed by chilly waters from the cave. There’s also a kiddie pool. The underground wonder maintains a constant 58-62 degree temperature year-round as you travel 175 feet beneath the earth.
