Fort Smith Alma RV Park in Alma, AR is a small and inviting campground that has friendly staff. This park essentially has two different sections, the lower loop is reserved for camping and there were lots of permanent residents in the upper section of the park. The camping section of the park was fairly clean, and the hookups worked as should. The bathrooms were clean, and the pool which is usually open Memorial Day to Labor Day was unfortunately not available when we visited. However, there were reports of mechanical issues with the pool. The site we had was very long but narrow and level. Additionally, there was a shared concrete patio, which was nice. Although there were some unoccupied sites that needed some maintenance, it was still a decent spot for a few nights stay. The grounds need some mowing and upkeep. There were barking dogs when walking around, yet I still felt safe while walking my dog. The office staff was very friendly at check-in, and the park is easy to maneuver in and out of with our RV. If youre passing through, this park is best suited for an overnight stay.
