This family-run campground is conveniently located in a portion of Fort Chaffee military base that was sold/gifted to the city of Fort Smith. The park has plenty of long-term visitors who are working in the area, and the price is right. The roads are gravel, and the sites are very long and sloped. You need to pull through to the very front of the site to get close to level, but the utilities are in the very back. You will need to have extra extensions for your utilities if you want to be level. The hosts are very accommodating and the military police patrol the park, making it a safe and quiet place to stay. The signs can be confusing, and there are no trash cans, so you need to haul your trash to the next stop. Overall, it is a good value and a great place to visit family.
