Brady Mountain Campground is a stunning campground located on Lake Ouachita, just 15 minutes outside of Hot Springs. It is a great spot for canoeing and kayaking, and the lake is gorgeous! The campground has many reservable sites that go quickly during peak season, and there are plenty of trees to hang hammocks from and pads for tents. There is a privately owned resort that shares the property with the Corps campground, offering a restaurant, laundry facility, and camp store within walking distance. Cell service is spotty in the lower portion of the campground, but is better at the top of the mountain near the lake. There are several hikes and the sunset over the lake is amazing. The campground has electric only, but the dump station is easy to access. There is no wifi or TV antenna reception, but the views and other fun things to do make up for it. The road to the campground is narrow and twisty, but big enough for a travel trailer and the truck pulling it. The camp sites have fire pits, grills, and large aluminum picnic tables. There are places to buy firewood at a reasonable price and small branches/twigs/leaves to use for kindling in the fall. The pump station near the showers/restrooms runs 24/7 and can be heard from the loop, but the marina next door may be another matter. It is a peaceful campground and the camp host is very friendly. The road to Brady Mountain is a 40 minute drive to Hot Springs, and a 30 minute drive to downtown Hot Springs.
