Toad Suck Campground is a well-maintained and attractive campground located on the bank of the Arkansas River. It offers great access to the river, with plenty of open space for walking and watching the barges come down the river. The campground provides level, paved sites with side parking pads for extra vehicles, fire pits, covered picnic tables, and BBQ grills. There are three playgrounds for the kids to enjoy, and the nearby Toad Suck One-Stop convenience store offers locally sourced firewood at a low price. The bathrooms are immaculately clean, although they can be a trek from your site. The campground is also home to the Toad Suck Lock & Dam, so there is a constant roar of water and the sound of barges throughout the night and day. It is an inexpensive, family-friendly campground with plenty of shade and level sites, making it a great stopover park for travelers.
